Dr. Luis A. Matos was born in Vega Baja, Puerto Rico, but moved to Salem, MA at the age of five. Now practicing dentistry in Florida, Dr. Matos is a happily married man and proud father of two wonderful boys.

While studying at Boston University, Dr. Matos enlisted in the Massachusetts Army National Guard, where he served as a combat medical specialist (EMT). In time, he joined the Air Force and moved to Valdosta, GA.

His dentistry venture started when Dr. Matos had to rush his wife to the dentist because of a severe toothache. Watching how the doctors helped her get rid of her pain was an “eye-opening” experience. It was right there and then that he decided it was time to follow his new passion for dentistry.
While at dental school, it was no surprise for Dr. Matos to discover that working with children was his true calling – after all, he is a big kid at heart!

Dr. Matos is not only a great Stuart pediatric dentist; he is a compassionate friend to all his young patients. He might act like a kid (and have tons of fun!), but he is an absolute professional whenever he treats your child.

Outside of the office, Dr. Matos is a family man. He loves spending time with his sons, his wife and his friends. Together they enjoy outdoor activities like sailing, biking, running, and archery.
